Very poor service from a old crotchety ER Doctor that decided to consider that my daughter was a harm to herself because she wrote in her journal at ATCW that she was sick of that place and the staff that made her feel worthless and wanted to die. He told us that our daughter said she had a plan and when we asked our daughter she said that she didn't she said that he twisted what she said. We called the doctor into the room and confronted him and he said 'oh I must've misunderstood' but yet would not revise his decision on 72 hour hold. We did not want our daughter sent to another hospital but they said she could not stay there but would not release her to us. They took her by ambulance against our will when they told me that the doctors orders were like a court order and I would be arrested if I took her. I am going to get with Ombudsom to get help about what happened.

Awful staff. Rude, act like your wasting there time. Went there for an extremely bad sore throat twice and both times they said there was nothing they can do. I ended up going to mankatos mayo clinic and they told me it was obviously tonsillitis and needed to remove them. Don't waste your time or money at United hospital. They are a joke, and a bad one at that. If I could give them negative 5 stars I would. Awful place
